The State of the Black Man – Southeast Queens Town Hall
May 7
6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Robert Ross Johnson Family Life Center
172-17 Linden Blvd, Jamaica, NY 11434
The Queens Legacy Lab will be in attendance to listen, document, and support ongoing community efforts. The Lab is attending as a framework, not an individual voice, focused on capturing insight and turning community perspective into clear, actionable understanding.
In preparation, the Legacy Lab has begun identifying and following participating speakers to align with the work already happening across the community. After the event, invitations will be extended for one-on-one conversations to contextualize community needs through lived experiences.
A summary of key insights will be developed following the town hall to ensure that what is shared in the room continues to inform and strengthen Southeast Queens beyond the moment.
Attendees are invited to join the Queens Legacy Lab guestlist to stay connected beyond the event.
The guestlist is NOT associated with the event. It is our way to continue the conversation after the room clears. Individuals who join may be invited to share additional perspective, participate in follow-up conversations, and stay connected to future Legacy Lab work. It also helps the Legacy Lab understand where its presence is landing in a meaningful way, ensuring the work reflects real connection and continued engagement.
