THE FOLD is a growing network of people committed to contributing to the communities they come from. Not just through conversation, but through action, creativity, organization, and presence. It is a space for people who see potential in Queens and believe community development should feel lived in, visible, and collaborative. Whether someone is organizing youth activities, documenting culture, building programs, creating content, mentoring young people, or simply showing up consistently, THE FOLD exists to connect people who want to contribute to the community in THEIR WAY.

We are looking for coaches, sports leaders, storytellers, photographers, videographers, designers, organizers, educators, media personalities, youth mentors, and everyday community members with ideas, energy, and initiative. Some people may already have experience leading projects. Others may simply have the ambition to begin. THE FOLD is designed to create alignment between people, ideas, and opportunities while helping contributors strengthen their skills, visibility, and impact over time. The goal is not to create followers. The goal is to build contributors who actively help shape the culture, experiences, and systems around them.

And we aren’t going to pretend everything is perfect. This is about recognizing that communities become stronger when more people participate in building them intentionally. THE FOLD represents a commitment to contribution, collaboration, consistency, and long term community investment. Through initiatives, media projects, educational programming, public events, neighborhood storytelling, and collective action, we are creating a network that studies, strengthens, and designs what holds us together.
