YOUTH AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

The Queens Legacy Lab Youth Ambassadors are a select group of young people between the ages of 14 and 23 who help connect communities to opportunities, activities, and experiences happening across Queens. The program is designed for individuals with ambition, consistency, and a willingness to engage with people both online and in person. Youth Ambassadors help spread information, increase visibility around programs, and support the overall growth of community-centered initiatives.

In addition to supporting Queens Legacy Lab programming, Youth Ambassadors may also serve as a youth-powered street team for local organizations, businesses, and community events looking to improve outreach and engagement. This can include helping promote events, sharing information, supporting campaigns, and helping organizations connect more directly with the communities they serve. The goal is to create real opportunities for young people to gain experience in communication, branding, outreach, and public engagement while earning through their participation.

The Youth Ambassador Program is built around the idea that connection has value and outreach is a real skill. Participants receive onboarding, promotional tools, and performance expectations designed to help them grow professionally while contributing to meaningful work happening throughout Queens. Through consistency, communication, and community engagement, Youth Ambassadors become part of a growing network helping strengthen visibility, participation, and access.
